History:

Sléachta is the bane of all that is civilized and good. He is the favored son of Onûs, created by the Dark Lord when he disguised himself as a mortal to have carnal relations with Jolarä. Since the Dawn of the Third Age, Sléachta has stalked through the shadows of Sidereus, giving birth to the plague of lycanthropy and the first werewolves. Everything Sléachta has created has in some way been a perversion of the creations of Jolarä, warping and twisting creatures of the natural world and creating new monstrosities to afflict the good people of Sidereus. Since his creation, Sléachta has done everything in his power to steal power from the other Ilith’ari, since he was born without his own portfolio. Thanks to the trickery of Onûs, Sléachta was able to wound Jolarä and create a corrupted copy of her portfolio, giving him divine power.

Relationships:

Sléachta is a loyal son to his father. He and Onûs share a strange relationship, as Onûs frequently competes with Sléachta to keep his powers at their peak. Sléachta and Tallis battle on occasion, as do he and Jolarä, though Sléachta is no match for Jolarä, Onûs will frequently interfere to turn the tide. Sléachta will frequently send his chosen lycanthropes to interfere with the Great Hunt of Jolarä’s children, particularly the Chatûl followers of Jolarä. Selora hates Sléachta with a passion, and was by her magic that lycanthropes find themselves grievously injured by silver, and that some were turned to the side of Light.

Dogma:

Only the fittest survive in the harsh darkness of the world. The weak have no place in any tribe, and they should be removed by any means necessary. Blood is the link between all living things, revel in spilling the blood of your foes and drink deep to savor the blood of your fallen allies – thereby absorbing their might. The vibrant core of what it means to be alive is the quintessential conflict between hunter and prey, the constant struggle between life and death. Revel in the pain of those you slay, never cower behind a bow or an arrow to slay from a distance. Do not slay the young or the pregnant so that your prey will remain plentiful, for to do otherwise is to endanger your own survival.

Clergy & Temples:

The Church of Sléachta is a very young organization. Since Sléachta only acquired divine power very late in the Third Age, he has only just begun to gain followers. Many of his followers are Lycanthropes, frequently reveling in their savage might and using it to further their own selfish ends. Priests of Sléachta indulge in hunting as often as possible. They push themselves and their prey to extremes to ensure that the hunt is as bloody and climactic as possible; often ending the pursuit in carefully planned areas so other faithful can watch the final confrontation. On the rare occasion that sapient prey manage to defeat a hunter of Sléachta, they are often invited into the fold. A surprising number accept, or not so surprising considering the alternative is death.
